Chatting with Friday Afternoon

Shortly before my wedding, I was invited to sit down and chat with the resplendent Friday Elliot, proprietor of amazing geek-themed teas. She and I have known each other for a couple years, since chatting at a random meetup when she did a tea tasting at the Wayward Coffeehouse.

Wherein Friday and I talk a bit about a host of micro-topics, including:

  • My Gen Con experience
  • Tell briefly the ENnies cape story
  • Tell the Dungeon Bastard that he can be wrong
  • I find words fascinating and weird (cosm!)
  • The power of really nasty street French
  • The Pirate King
  • Tortuga!
  • Portland pirates
  • Weddings, and the tetris of wedding planning while working
  • Synesthesia
  • Bouquet made of maps on etsy
  • The Nerdly Beach Party and the game Polaris
  • Missing going home
  • How government work changed me, and why I left my government job
  • Friday should totally have her teas in the the EndGame Cafe, and I gush about EndGame overall
  • I actually do have some shame
  • Denver and Seattle don’t adhere to physics
  • I believe in the zipper merge
  • Fine imports and rewards
  • I’m sorry, Woodinville
  • Exploding squid

This is part of a series where Friday talks with amazing people—including Shanna Germain and Paula Currey—over at the AFK Elixirs & Eatery in Renton, WA and produced by Gamerati.
