Reverb Gamers Prompt #10

Atlas Games is doing this thing called “Reverb Gamers 2012″, with 31 question prompts to kick off 2012. I’m going to post one up each day, including weekends, throughout January. I invite you to do the same! And check out @ReverbGamers on Twitter or Facebook.

REVERB GAMERS 2012, #10: Have you ever played a character originally from a book/TV/movie? How did the character change from the original as you played? If not, who would you most like to play?

I played in a Don’t Rest Your Head game once where I took the character of Shane Vendrell from the FX show The Shield, right after he kills Curtis Lemansky. He couldn’t sleep, and the GM, Rich Rogers of Canon Puncture, and I decided that the kicker was his family, the reason he did so many horrible things, were stolen into the Mad City after Shane became Awake.

Naturally, we’re going way off canon[1] there by introducing those supernatural elements, but we got to play with the character’s guilt and our shared love of the show.
